FYC Program Mission
Our mission is to offer Franklin Pierce students the necessary foundations for all their college courses and future professions. FYC provides students an opportunity to understand how to learn to read a variety of texts as well as how to compose, write, and speak in any context and in a variety of modalities for many different audiences.
GLE 110 FYC I
"How well does the writing respond to the needs of an audience?" First Year Composition I is the first in a series of two courses for those who must excel in reading and writing at the college-level. Students will learn to attend to the context and purpose for the writing and select credible, relevant sources to develop ideas as well as refine the ability to analyze and comprehend texts.
